Discover Our
Journey

In March of 2016 the journey began. The team began their careers as Direct Support Professionals, serving Individuals with DD/IDD, and subsequently advanced to professional managers. The team developed techniques to support these Individuals and discovered the passion that they had together, helping people to become independent.

This team decided to embark upon the journey of operating a provider agency and named it Fresh Winds. Today, Fresh Winds is made up of caring staff that have experienced all sorts of behaviors and has developed strategies to offset them.

The team serves Individuals with professionalism, integrity, and honesty, all while respecting their basic human rights, and offering them assistance with obtaining the best quality of life possible, with emphasis on personal choice.

Problematic situation

Our population consist of many Individuals with developmental disabilities who need assistance and supervision with day-to-day task and activities, like:

  • Bathing & hygiene
  • Dressing appropriately
  • Food preparation
  • Medication administration
  • Transportation to medical appointments
  • Community engagement

  • We engage individuals daily by spending time with them in what they enjoy doing.
  • We provide transportation to community events, doctors’ appointments, shopping and visiting family and friends.
